Raised as a small town kid from Albany, Georgia, USA, I believe that ordinary people can connect and impact each other on a global scale. From my global travels to Southeast Asia, Europe, and Africa I have seen first hand how a strong supply chain can impact individual lives. Graduating from Georgia Tech with a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering, a Business Minor, and a Chinese Minor, I love to teach, mentor, lead, and have fun. Professionally, I work in Oregon for Intel - after 4 Industry work experiences in college. These experiences led me to make professional development workshops for resume writing, interviewing, etc! Working within the supply chain, I do everything from project management to process improvement. Outside Intel, I spend time within High & Middle school classrooms, bringing with me stories from 30+ countries, a youth-centered philosophy, and an engaging attitude. Beyond that, I work with non-profits helping with process improvement & strategic planning.

My name is Hannah Steinkopf-Frank, and I am a graduate from the University of Oregon. I'm passionate about using my multimedia and new technology skills to tell stories around the world. I am majoring in journalism and international studies with an African studies minor and am a student in the university's Robert D. Clark Honors College. My interest in foreign reporting began in summer 2015, when I interned at Today Newspaper in Accra, Ghana. I wrote and photographed stories on illegal mining, an up-and-coming DJ, and one of the only Ghanaian journalists covering LGBTQ issues. I spent fall 2015 in Morocco, writing profiles on a visual artist and a controversial political cartoonist. Last summer, I interned at Paper Magazine, an arts publication in New York City, and Empathetic Media, a startup focused in virtual and augmented reality. I am also a writing intern for the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation. At the University of Oregon, I edit Ethos, an award-winning multicultural magazine and Dressed Up Ducks, the university’s style blog. In addition, I am a senior writing coach at Writing Central, one of first communications-focused collegiate writing centers. I am currently working on my thesis on la SAPE, a social movement of well-dressed men that began in the two Congos.

I spent the Spring 2018 semester working at the Neutral Buoyancy Lab (NBL) at JSC, which is one of the world's largest indoor pools and is used by NASA to train astronauts for spacewalks. My work at the NBL involves scuba diving, evaluating degradation of materials after long-term exposure to chlorinated water, and implementing simulated open ocean effects in the pool to assist training for water survival and Orion capsule recovery.

Parker is a PhD Candidate in Aeronautics and Astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He previously completed a dual master's program in Aerospace Systems Engineering and Technology & Policy at MIT. His undergraduate degree is from Georgia Tech. Parker is the 2014 MIT Zakhartchenko Fellow and a NASA Aeronautics Scholar from 2012 - 2016. His current research activities concern systems-level operational analysis and development for Urban Air Mobility (UAM) and Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) networks. Parker is affiliated with three research groups at MIT having crafted a highly interdisciplinary, sociotechnical research program. Parker's previous experiences with academia, government, and industry allowed him to explore a wide breadth of research interests. In brief, his previous efforts have spanned from gas turbine design to hypersonic vehicle unsteady combustion modeling to US Navy carrier strike group portfolio optimization. At 18, I went to the University of Maryland for a year doing ROTC and studying government and then a year later I transferred to USAFA. There I studied political science with a focus in African studies. After USAFA, I went to Boston to study Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School. Now, I work as a Contracting Officer at Lakenheath AB in England.

Bronwyn finished her last year at UT Austin where she had the honor of belonging to Plan II Honors, the Polymathic Scholars Honors Program, and Junior Fellows. When she was not running the business of the Undergraduate Research Journal, she was writing speeches and researching policy at the Texas Capitol, acting as the President of Plan II Pre-Medical Society, writing poetry, or out dancing (preferably argentine tango or west coast swing!). She has performed research on modulating metabolism as a therapeutic strategy for cancer treatment, finding ways to chemically mimic beneficial cardiovascular changes that occur in the body during exercise, characterizing the differentiation of regenerative cells, and evaluating the spread of mosquito-born diseases in the lower Rio Grande Valley. But before that, I worked as a Consultant with Deloitte's Strategy and Operations practice based in Atlanta, GA. At Deloitte, I spent a lot of time improving supply chain and manufacturing operations for consumer and industrial product companies. I also held a few national leadership roles, serving on the Strategy and Operations Advisory Board and the National Business Analyst Action Committee. Before Deloitte, I moved to Beijing for three months to study Mandarin.

I graduated with highest honors from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Nuclear and Radiological Engineering. While I was in undergrad, I worked as a distribution engineer at Georgia Power.
